EXTERNAL RECOGNITIONS TEACHING KAYSIE SEITZ BROWN TEACHING CINDY ROYAL TEACHING STEVE BEEBE received the 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award, Training and Development Division, National Communication Association. LYNN LEDBETTER received the 2016 Phyllis Young Outstanding Studio Teacher of the Year Award from the Texas Chapter of the American String Teachers Association. ANN BURNETTE received the 2016 John I. Sisco Excellence in Teaching Award from the Southern States Communication Association. SARAH MAINES received a 2016 National Partners in American Teatre Mentor Award from the Kennedy Center American College Teatre Festival. MARIAN L. HOUSER received the 2015 National Communication Association Teachers on Teaching Award. KAYSIE SEITZ BROWN received the 2015 Texas Association of Health, Physical Recreation, and Dance Educator of the Year Award. DAVID NOLAN received the 2015 National Press Photographers Association’s Robin F. Garland Educator Award. ROSEANN MANDZIUK received the 2014 Michael M. Osborn Teacher Scholar Award from the Southern States Communication Association. WAYNE KRAEMER received the 2014 Texas Speech Communication Association Educator of the Year Award and the 2005 Texas Intercollegiate Forensics Association’s Educator of the Year Award. KAITLIN HOPKINS received a 2013 Top Women Educator in the Arts Award from the Broadway Dreams Foundation. SHERRY SNOWDEN received the 2013 Higher Education Educator of the Year Award from the Texas Art Education Association. CINDY ROYAL received the 2013 Charles E. Scripps Journalism and Mass Communication Teacher of the Year Award from the Scripps Howard Foundation; she also received a 2013 John S. Knight Journalism Fellowship. WAYNE KRAEMER received the 2013 E. R. Nichols Award, a national forensics teaching award presented by Pi Kappa Delta; he was the 2006 recipient of the Don Brownlee Award presented by the Cross Examination Debate Association. TERI EVANS-PALMER received the 2011 Higher Education Educator of the Year Award from the Texas Art Education Association. STEVE BEEBE received the 1997 Outstanding Communication Professor in America Award from the National Speaker’s Association. TODD OXFORD has earned three nominations (2015-2017) for the Grammy Foundation Music Educator Award.
