EXTERNAL RECOGNITIONS CONTINUED SCHOLARLY & CREATIVE CRAIG HELLA JOHNSON SCHOLARLY & CREATIVE MAUREEN KEELEY CRAIG HELLA JOHNSON , as Artistic Director and Conductor of Conspirare, has earned eight Grammy nominations, winning for their album Te Sacred Spirit of Russia (2014); they have earned Grammy nominations for Considering Matthew Shephard (2016), Pablo Neruda: Te Poet Sings (2015) A Company of Voices (2009), and two nominations for Treshold of Night (2008) and Requiem (2006). ROSEANN MANDZIUK received the 2008 Gender Scholar of the Year Award from the Southern States Communication Association. HANK HEHMSOTH was a 2012 MacDowell Norton Stevens Fellow in Composition and a 1980 National Endowment for the Arts Fellow in jazz composition. ERINA DUGANNE received a 2011 Marlene Nathan Meyerson Photography Fellowship from the Harry Ransom Center. MARIAN HOUSER received the 2010 Past President’s President Award from the Eastern Communication Association. CRAIG HELLA JOHNSON was selected as the 2013 State of Texas Music Artist of the Year. IAN DAVIDSON and FAITH DEBOW were performers on Conspirare’s Grammy-nominated album A Company of Voices . CHUCK NEY received a 2008 Kennedy Center American College Teatre Festival (KC/ACTF) National Faculty Fellowship in Directing Award. In 2012, a 1996 article co-written by TOM GRIMES was recognized as one of the 50 most cited articles in the Journalism and Mass Communication Quarterly’s then 84- year publishing history. MAUREEN KEELEY’S 2007 book Final Conversations: Helping the Living and the Dying Talk to Each Other (co- authored with Julie Yingling) was awarded Book of the Year in Consumer Health by the American Journal of Nursing , Silver winner Self-Help Book of the Year by Foreword magazine, and Bronze winner in Aging/Death & Dying (Ippy) Award from Independent Publishing. KAITLIN HOPKINS received Ovation Award nominations in 2005 and 2003 and a Drama Desk Award nomination in 2001. Her Broadway credits include Noises Of and How the Grinch Stole Christmas . She performs on the original cast albums for Bat Boy: Te Musical , Te Great American Trailer Park Musical , and Bare: A Pop Opera . LAURA LANE had principal roles in the network series Hunter , L.A. Law , and Te Nanny (C.C. Babcock); for her theatre work, she won the 1996 LA Critics Best Supporting Actress award. SHEILA HARGETT had her costume designs selected for exhibition in Prague Quadrennial International Design Exhibit in 2003 and 2007. HANK HEHMSOTH performed on national and international tours with Christopher Cross (5 years), Fleetwood Mac ( Tusk album tour), Te Eagles ( Te Long Run album tour), and Bonnie Raitt. ROSEANN MANDZIUK and Suzanne Fitch received the 2002 Southern States Communication Association’s Rose B. Johnson Article Award.
