I had dreams of becoming every type of professional as a child, but when the decision came, spending the most formative years of my life earning a bachelors in this field felt like the choice that would best launch me into the person I wanted to become: a self aware emotionally intelligent, generous, forgiving, and secure person. WHY TEXAS STATE? I knew that because of the newness of the program, I d get the chance to help build something that was already on its way to greatness. I knew I d be heard, and that what I uniquely had to offer would be received and cherished. HOW DID TEXAS STATE PREPARE YOU FOR YOUR CHOSEN PROFESSION? Texas State offered me tools to take care of myself. Anyone can teach professionalism and skill, but what is most often neglected is how to maintain longevity mentally, physically, and spiritually.
