school of journali sm and mass communication The School of Journalism and Mass Communication cultivates strong professional, research, theoretical, critical and ethical skills in a diverse and engaging environment that prepares students to be socially responsible media professionals, scholars, and citizens. Housed in historic Old Main, the school offers a nationally accredited curriculum. Undergraduate majors include: Advertising (458 majors), Digital Media Innovation (315 majors), Electronic Media (404 majors), Journalism (208 majors), Mass Communication (185 majors) and Public Relations (607 majors). Students can also earn a concentration in Digital Media, Multimedia Production and/or Sports Media. The SJMC also offers a Master of Arts in Mass Communication (33 majors).
