department of theatre and dance Texas State University’s Theatre program offers undergraduate B.F.A. degrees in Acting, Musical Theatre, Teacher Certification, Technical Production, Performance and Production, Film Production, and a general B.A. degree. The department also offers a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre with emphases in Directing and Design. The department presents 10 fully produced shows each year as well as dozens of new play readings and class-related productions. Production facilities include the Patti Strickel Harrison Theatre, PSH Foundation Studio Theatre, the Jeremy Torres Lab Theatre, and the flexible stage of our former main stage. Our students and faculty continue to excel at regional, national, and international levels.
