The exhibition ran through May 6, 2017. [ 1 ] Kathleen McShane Bolton received a June-July Artist Residency Fellowship at VCCA in Amherst, Virginia. Shawn Camp received a commission for a suite of seven paintings for STG Design in Austin. He was also awarded a residency at Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area in Washington State for the month of May. J oey Fauerso was recently awarded a major mural commission from San Antonio’s Office of Culture and Creative Development to be completed in the fall of 2017. She also gave an artist talk at Artpace through the “Open series.” Fauerso’s work was recently shown at the Austin Art Fair represented by David Shelton Gallery. This summer Fauerso’s work “Hambone with Birds” will be screened at Transmitter Gallery in Brooklyn and she will be attending the international residency program at Kunstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin. Fauerso’s work will be included in a group exhibition curated by Michael Velliquette at Artstart in Rhinelander, WI., and Fauerso will be the summer profiled artist in Art and Culture magazine. [ 2 ] Tommy Fitzpatrick will have a solo exhibition of new paintings and sculptures in Dallas at the Holly Johnson Gallery. The show is entitled Factual Facts and Actual Facts and will open on September 9 and continue until October 14. Brian Johnson worked with eleven other artists/ printmakers from across the country to create over 60 collaborative prints, at the annual SGC International printmaking conference in Atlanta.
