Cambria Denim’s play A Girl Smiles in Te Arctic will be published at www.secrettheatre.com. Cambria will graduate in May with a BFA in Acting. Connor Feagin (BFA, Technical Production) has been hired as a stage management intern for Hangar Teatre in Ithaca, New York. Lauren Ferebee (MFA, Dramatic Writing) [4] presented her research paper “Under Our Eye: Te Handmaid as Symbol and Performance” as part of Alkek Library’s Spring Spotlight on April 19th at the Alkek Library Open Teatre. In addition, her essay “Hear the Bones Sing: Te Reinvention of the Narrative Body in Four Plays” was selected through a blind peer-review process as the best essay of the 2017 Texas State Writing Center Essay Contest. Lauren was honored at the English Department Awards Day celebration on April 19. Olivia Fletcher (BFA Technical Production 2021) will be the assistant stage manager on Robin , a new work for young audiences (based on a contemporary Robin Hood) with Summer Stock Austin. Holden Fox (BFA Technical Production 2020) will be the production stage manager for Te Music Man with Summer Stock Austin. Tristen Geren (BFA, Performance and Production) has been hired as an intern stage manager and set designer for Fredericksburg Teater Company’s summer season. Jose Gomez (BFA – Musical Teatre) has been cast in Love’s Labours Lost at the Texas Shakespeare Festival. Ellen Greetham (BFA, Technical Production) has been hired as company coordinator for Zilker Teatre Productions’ summer season. Ellen is an assistant stage manager on the 5th annual Greater Austin High School Musical Teatre Awards and will be the company coordinator for the Zilker Teatre Production of All Shook Up . Andrew Gutierrez (BFA Technical Production 2018) won the Region 6 KCACTF Stage Management Fellowship and just returned from DC. Andrew has also been accepted to the University of California San Diego and will join them in the fall to begin his graduate degree in stage management. Emma Hearn (BFA – Musical Teatre) is performing as a full-season resident company member at Music Teatre Wichita in Kansas. Sarah Hudson (BFA, Technical Production) has been hired as the production stage manager for Summer Stock Austin’s production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels . Jorrel Javier (BFA – Musical Teatre) is cast in Mamma Mia! At Casa Manana. Ethan Jones , Miriah Borden , and Sydney Smith (all MFA, Lighting Design) designed the lighting for Masters of Dance at Sam Houston State University, collaborating with student choreographers. [5] Ethan Jones and Annalise Caudle (MFA, Lighting Designers) participated in the 14th Annual Hemsley Lighting Portfolio Review in New York City. Molly McCarville (BFA Technical Production 2019) will spend the summer as a stage management intern with Berkshire Teatre Group. Andrew McIntyre (MFA, Lighting Design) was lighting designer for ZACHTeatre’s production of Goodnight Moon in Austin. Corey Nelson (BFA Technical Production 2018) is an assistant stage manager on the Greater Austin High School Musical Teatre Award and has a six-month contract with Carnival Cruise Line that begins in August. Tyler Osgood (BFA Technical Production 2018) joins ZACHTeatre’s Sunday in the Park with George team as an assistant stage manager this summer and is working with Michael Rau and Laura Lane as a stage manager on the Brazil Project . In addition, he will be working with donors and special events for Zilker Teatre Productions, and has been hired as an education and stage management intern at McCarter Teatre. Allison Price (MFA Directing 2020) won the Stage Directors and Choreographers Fellowship at the national KCACTF festival. She spent April 7-12 at the Kennedy Center, working with Rick Dildine, artistic director of Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Seema Sueko, artistic director for Arena Stages, Steve Yockey (playwright of Afterlife , Disassembly , and Very Still and Hard to See ), and Dana Lynn Formby, playwright and interim artistic director at Chicago Dramatists. Te cast for the Ragtime production, which was performed in the Patti Strickel Harrison Teatre on campus, included: Jeremiah Porter , Emma Kessler , Ben Toomer , Eliana Raphaelle Torres , Emma Lenderman , Raegan Roberts , Daniel Miller , Nate Nelson , Henry Ginsburg , Chris Clark , Jacob Burns , Beau Harmon , Anna Rose Daugherty , Anthony Hinderman , Emma Hearn , Anna Uzele , Rachel Webb , Brian Corkum , Kyra Johnson , Cameron Sirian , Trevor Berger , Ashlyn Maddox , Cristina Sastre , Bella Coppola , Riley Wesson , Anthony Skillman , Morgan Amalbert , Titus Moten , Calvin Smith , Jada Owens , Michaela Lamas , Simone McQuitty , Jorrel Javier , Sophia Ludovici , Grace Muawad , Michael Julliard , and Juliette Redden . Liliana Rose (BFA – Musical Teatre) will play Anne in La Cage Aux Folles at Red House Arts Center in in Syracuse, NY, and then will perform on Norwegian Cruise Line’s “Pride of America” ship, sailing to Hawaii. Brody Trash (BFA Performance and Production 2018) is a production assistant for the Greater Austin High School Musical Teatre Awards. Tis summer, he will be a stage management intern for ZACHTeatre’s Sunday in the Park with George , a production assistant on Zilker Teatre Productions’ All Shook Up . Caitlin Turnage’s play Purtty is a semi-fnalist for Shakespeare’s New Contemporaries play contest at the American Shakespeare Center. Te play is a modern adaptation of A Winter’s Tale . Caitlin is a second-year graduate student in the Dramatic Writing program.
