Technical Production student Olivia Fletcher tackled three virtual projects in the fall of 2020, working as the company manager for the Black and Latino Playwrights Celebration, and production stage manager for Tey Scream in Silence as the Horizon Leans Forward and Mazkapan . Olivia also completed three takeover stage management projects in the spring of 2021, expanding her ability to immerse through her work on Signifcant Other , Te Old Maid and the Tief and Te Stoned Guest , and Spring Awakening . ALUMNI ACCOLADES M.F.A. Dramatic Writing alumni Audrey Webb’s pilot "Dead Name" made the Top 10 Mystery/ Crime/ Triller list in the Table Read My Screenplay Genre Competition. Her short flm Te New Shoes won in a short flm competition. Texas State Musical Teatre alumni Ana Yi Puig had a guest appearance on Bull on CBS. Tis was on their 100th episode titled “Law of the Jungle.” [4] Texas State Musical Teatre alumni Sophia Ludovici and Cameron Sirian opened A Chorus Line at the Wick Teatre in Boca Raton, Florida. Texas State Musical Teatre alumni Jorrel Javier played John Anthony in Tell me I’m Gorgeous At the End of Te World by Aaron Coleman. Te show was produced as a virtual reading. Texas State Musical Teatre alumni Blair Baldwin performed a show at Arlene’s Grocery in New York City. B.F.A. Technical Production alumna Jenny Dang became a certifed COVID complicance ofcer in early 2021 as well as accepted an internship at Hangar Teatre Company in Ithaca, New York where she will be working as the production management intern this summer. Prior to graduation, Lyndsay Vanstory participated in a summer company production and produced via platforms such as Hop-In and Zoom. In addition, Lyndsay trained stage management teams to support general auditions and callbacks; all via Zoom and including creating sets of guidelines. Lyndsay also participates professionally in pageants and took home the title of 2020-2021 Texas Cinderella Woman while acting as administrator and facilitator of events. Upon graduation, Lyndsay shifted her work to property leasing and management and is pursuing a focus on events. Brody Trash , Performance and Production 2018, completed internships at both Virginia Rep and Dodgers. Corey Nelson, Technical Production 2018 alum, recently moved up the management ladder at Austin's favorite cofee shop, Summermoon. Corey will now be fulflling the role of assistant manager at the busiest Summermoon location on Burnet Street in Austin. Maya Novit , Performance and Production 2020 alum, recently accepted a position with the Northern Stage in White River Junction, Vermont. Tere she will be serving as a COVID Safety Ofcer for the summer of 2021 and in the fall will transition to Stage Management apprentice for the 2021-2022 season. Tyler Larson holds an M.F.A. in Stage Management from UC San Diego, completion in 2019, and a B.F.A. with an emphasis in Stage Management from Texas State University, completed in 2016. His nominations include - B. Iden Payne: Outstanding Stage Management Award (Summer Stock Austin: Carnival, 2016), Broadway World Austin: Best Stage Manager of a Musical Award (Summer Stock Austin: Carnival, 2016). Holden Fox , Stage Management/Technical Production 2020, was hired as a house manager at Te Long Center for the Performing Arts. Tyler Osgood , Stage Management/Technical Production 2018, has spent the last 2 years in his residency at ZACH Teatre as a stage manager, a mentor for Summer Stock Austin and Te Heller Awards, a front of house staf member at the Long Center for Performing Arts, as well as graphic design for social media. Blane Barton , Performance and Production 2017, has spent his time in NYC working with Dodgers Teatricals, Summer: Te Donna Summer Musical & First National Tour , Cat & Nat #MOMSTruth Tour , Jersey Boys - Of Broadway , Te Pride Plays , and has currently joined the Nexus team for Summer 2021. Blane is also channeling much of his energy into advocacy, politics, and expanding his skillset into project management. Connor Feagin (Stage Management & Technical Production 2019) and Alana Garcia (BFA Acting & Stage Management 2020) met on the production of Tales of Te Lost Formicans in 2018. After an internship at Actors Teatre of Louisville for Connor and a run of Men on Boats (Seneca/Te Bishop) and the thesis, "Tapping Into Creativity: Ways to Open Your Mind When Your Well Is Running Dry" for Alana, the two were recently married. DEPARTMENT ACCOLADES Te Texas State Department of Teatre and Dance opened their production of Beehive Te 60’s Musical created by Larry Gallagher in late April. [ 5 ] Te show was directed by M.F.A. Directing Alumni Allison Price and had an undergraduate cast including Camille Duvall , Kimmi Zimmermann , Cayla Primous , Morgan Montgomery , Joann Gilliam , and Madeline Bourgeois . Te department opened their production of Te Last Five Years on April 29. Te show was directed by Stacy Hawking and starred performers Lexi Ganong and Caleb L. Peters . Te department opened their production of Spring Awakening on May 7th-13th. [6] Te production was directed by M.F.A. Directing alumni and faculty member Tom Delbello and had an undergraduate cast including Jeremiah Porter , Kyra Johnson , Riley Clark , Miceala Lamas , Lu Chavez , Payton Bioletto , Adriana Scalice , Preston Perez , Ian Dean , Colin Trudell , Nick Dondero , John Fredrickson , and Juliana Lamia . Te Department of Teatre and Dance ofered its frst Wellness Week featuring keynote speaker and flmmaker, Aaron Fisher. Wellness Week ofered a series of free events embracing wellness practices including short and full- length play readings, short flm screenings, guest speakers, and more. It was co-chaired by Natalie Blackman and Betty Buckley in collaboration with committee members Cassandra Abate , Michelle Dahlenburg , Christa Oliver , and Aimee Radics with events ofered by faculty members Misti Galvan and Kaitlin Hopkins .
