DANCE Dance Studies, Per formance & Choreography, Single Teaching Certif ication, & Dual Teaching Certif ications FACULTY ACCOLADES Ana Baer filmed a new work in Michoacán, Mexico in collaboration with Rocio Luna and Natalia Reza. Ana Baer’s Sympoiesis and IXCHEL were awarded Best Bizarrya Experimental by Bizarrya Short Film Festival, Porto, Portugal. Sympoiesis was also selected for screening at Exhibidora de Cine, Monterrey, MX and MICMX International Film Festival, Mexico City, MX. [1] Ana Baer’s Imágenes de una Realidad was selected by Exhibidora de Cine, Monterrey, MX and Bizarrya Short Film Festival, Porto. Her Wild-er-ness a collaboration with Michelle Nance and Richard D. Hall was selected by Latest Visions: International Women’s Day film festival screening at Latest TV in Brighton, Belfast, Sheffield, and Kent. Her Espacios Latentes Repleanteados is showing at Sala de la Diversidad in Habana, Cuba April 21st - May 20th. The video and photo installation includes collaborations with Michelle Nance and Richard D. Hall. While in La Habana, Ana Baer taught the workshop La Poética de la Creación Colectiva to dance and film students. Kaysie Seitz Brown and CIM TEYA performed at four elementary schools during the months of March and April: Voigt Elementary, Berkman Elementary Arts Integration Academies, Fuentes Elementary, and the San Marcos Treatment Center. CIM TEYA was also invited to perform two works, teach a portion of repertoire, and participate in a Q & A at Austin Community College. [2] Michelle Nance presented a new work set on Texas State University dancers entitled “Alleluia” for the Easter Service at First Presbyterian Church.
