College of Fine Arts and Communication | 17 to be a representative and advocate for Ketchum’s new program, Ketchumbassadors. This program was created to externally and internally connect public relations professionals around the world. Kyle Schofield was promoted to Public Relations Manager for Better Business Bureau serving the Heart of Texas, and the organization will be recognized in May by PRSA San Antonio as a La Plata award winner for an outstanding public relations campaign focused on raising awareness about employment scams. Sean Smith has transitioned to Product Manager for H-E-B Digital where he will work on projects associated with the grocer's mobile application. Sean leaves Gannett where he has worked since 2019 as Web Developer and Product Manager. Sean is also a lecturer in SJMC, teaching a section of Web Design and Publishing. BUCKET WORKS ACCOLADES Bucket Works received the following this year at AAF- CC’s American Advertising Awards & Big Wig Awards: • Best of Out-of-Home ADDY: Influencer Holiday Event for La Palmera • Gold ADDY: Influencer Holiday Event for La Palmera in the category of Out-of-Home & Ambient Media • Big Wig for Best Media Buyer: Lexi Buquet • Big Wig for Best Event Planner: D’Anne Buquet [6] The Texas State University National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) team won 1st in District, 1st in the semi-finals, and has now advanced to National Finals. They are one of 8 universities advancing to the Finals in St. Louis on June 2, 2023. The National Student Advertising Competition, sponsored by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), is the premier college advertising competition that provides more than 2,000 college students the real-world experience of creating a strategic advertising/marketing/ media campaign for Indeed as the national client this year. The team is comprised of students from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication and from McCoy College of Business. NATIONAL FINALIST
