4 | April & May 2023 | College News Shelby Feinberg will be an intern at Anderson Ranch Arts Center for Summer 2023 Sofia Penny has been accepted for a masters program at the University of Texas at Dallas 19 students won awards at the American Advertising Awards (ADDY's) 4 5 6 Molly Sherman 's solo-collaborative exhibition, People’s Homes , opened on March 3rd at the Contemporary at Blue Star in San Antonio. [3] STUDENT ACCOLADES Shelby Feinberg was accepted into a highly competitive internship program at Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village, Colorado for summer 2023. Annie Donovan was the mentor for this application. Jessica Mallios and Barry Stone provided references. [4] Morgan Grigsby 's solo exhibition Comfort is currently on view at the Calaboose Museum of African American History in San Marcos (April–July 2023). On May 6th from 10 AM–12 PM, the Calaboose will host a reception and artist talk (11 AM). Sofia Penny has been accepted to the masters program in Art History at the Edith O’Donnell Institute of Art History at the University of Texas at Dallas. She also has been awarded a $12,000 scholarship for her first year, “based on the strength and promise” of her application. [5] The international group exhibition We Learn the Rules in Order to Break Them, 2nd Quanzhou (Huaguang) International Image Biennial , was held on March 10, 2023, at Fujian Huaguang Photographic Art Museum in China. The invitational exhibition represented 40 international photography programs that featured student work and highlighted the School of Art and Design’s Photography Programs. Former and current students include Chantal Lesley , Katelyn Lester , Madelynn Mesa , and Stone Phillips . An exhibition catalog was published by the museum
