Kaitlyn O’ Leary (Musical Teatre ’23) opened Disney’s Beauty and Te Beast at the Moonlight Amphitheatre in Vista, California as one of the “Silly Girls”. Madeleine Bourgeois (Musical Teatre ’22) and Eric Shawn (Musical Teatre ’25) opened Jesus Christ Superstar at Tulane Summer Lyric in New Orleans. Preston Perez (Musical Teatre ’22) opened Altar Boyz at Forestburgh Playhouse over the summer. Ana Paula Monterrubio (Musical Teatre ’24) was a metadata intern at Who’z the Boss Music Library, a music licensing company for flm, TV, advertising and video games. Ana worked with Dave Herrero and Parker Lee Williams, the former music director for the Oprah Winfrey Show . Dyaln Droz (P&P ’22) did a small scale production/ charity dinner for Central Texas Teatre Academy in Wimberley, and played Malcolm in Gaslight Baker Teatre’s production of Macbeth. ALUMNI ACCOLADES Melissa Ueckert (BFA Performance and Production 2020) has started her frst year in the graduate Graphic Design program at Boston University. Francisco (Tito) Yeverino is a student at Southwestern Law School. He is the upcoming communications chair and a junior advocate in the Trial Advocacy Honors Program, marketing chair for Entertainment Law Society, the secretary of OUTlaw, and a member of the Latino Law Students Association. Daniel Anderson (MFA Directing 2016) has been appointed director of University Teatre at Angelo State University where he has been a faculty member since October of 2018. Rocky Hopson (MFA Directing 2017) has returned to the States after a successful four-year stint as a free- lance director based in Amsterdam. He is now teaching Directing, Play Analysis, and Teatre Appreciation at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls. Jake Young [8] (Musical Teatre) is part of a new musical adaptation of Te Karate Kid where he is playing the role of Johnny Lawerence. Gianna Yanelli (Musical Teatre ‘14) opened the world premiere of Mystic Pizza at Ogunquit Playhouse. Chris Clark [9] (Musical Teatre ‘19) reopened the Escape to Margaritaville frst national tour after it’s premature close due to Covid-19. Micaela Lamas (Musical Teatre ’21) opened Nunsense at Wagon Wheel over the summer. Sean McGibbon (BFA Musical Teatre ‘12) is heading out to sea to perform with Norwegian Cruise Lines starring in Million Dollar Quartet . Anna Uzele [10] (Musical Teatre ’18) returns to Broadway, co-starring in the musical Six . Te cast also performed on Te Jimmy Fallon Show and created this trailer . Maura Gill (Musical Teatre ‘20) and Jeremiah Porter (Musical Teatre ’21) starred as Rizzo and Kenickie in Music Teatre Wichita’s production of Grease , [11] and were joined in the ensemble by current Bobcats Alex Aponte (’22) and Preston Perez (’22). Cristina Sastre (Musical Teatre ‘19) starred as Rebecca in On Your Feet! at Te Muny. Austin Owens Kelly ( Musical Teatre ’21) released An American Democracy . Te piece is a one person show comparing Alexis de Tocqueville’s 1835 book Democracy in America to the past year and a half of political turmoil in the U.S., using interpolations from the book paired with personal vignettes . Matilde Bernabei ( Musical Teatre ‘13) released her new album, TiNY SKiES , available on all major streaming services. Kaycee Swierc (BFA acting ’20) was hired as the Special Assistant to the Artistic Director and Executive Team at the American Repertory Teatre at Harvard University. Kaycee will work alongside artistic director Diane Paulus (Broadway’s Waitress).
