Department Accolades College Magazine has ranked the Musical Theatre program at Texas State number 7 in the nation. The musical theater program presented a workshop of the new musical Swingset Moon with visiting guest artists Alex Gemignani, Erin Ortman and Daniel Glenn. In addition he presented his paper “Performing Textual Communities: Lear Khehkwaii and Alaska Native Shakespeare” for the American Society for Theatre Research conference. Gianna Yanelli (BFA 2014) will be playing Fredericka in A Little Night Music at Theatre 2002 this winter in New York. Texas State Fulbrighters Texas State has been recognized as a “top- producing institution” of Fulbright Scholars by the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES). On February 5th, there was a college-wide Fulbright Celebration Luncheon recognizing our faculty who have participated in the Fulbright Program working abroad.
