Gale Wiley shot and edited promotional videos for the College of Fine Arts and Communication at Texas State University, two of which were played for Fine Arts faculty at the beginning of the Fall 2015 term. In addition to Texas State University promotional videos, Gale continually creates videos throughout his community. He created a seven-part video series on the efforts of various watershed preservation organizations to restore plant life to the Blanco River after the REP Winners Announced C3 wants to recognize those who submitted applications to Texas State’s Research Enhancement Program (REP) and congratulate this year’s winners from our college: Dr. Rebekah Fox | Communication Studies Dr. Stephanie Dailey | Communication Studies Dr. Tricia Burke | Communication Studies Dr. Russell Haight | Music Dr. Kyle Glaser | Music Additional Services for Faculty This is an exciting new year for C3. With the addition of a new Research Coordinator, Ruthi Caldwell, to assist faculty with developing their scholarly and creative ideas and apply for funding, Lisa Westerbeck now primarily supports faculty in managing their awards. Ruthi and Lisa are also available to help staff apply for and manage REP grants. Faculty in the college now have more support than ever to achieve scholarly and creative goals including: Develop Your Idea : one-on-one or group planning meetings to develop research and creative ideas; help finding Texas State collaborators or community partners projects. Memorial Day Weekend Flood of 2015. Every year he produces a promotional video for the Wimberley Lions highlighting the experiences of students who spent their summer abroad under the sponsorship of the Lions. He also shot and edited four promotional videos for TxACT, The Texas Screening Alliance for Cancer Therapeutics at Houston’s Medical Center and Austin’s University of Texas campus. Find Funding : assistance seeking funding opportunities. Craft Your Proposal : assistance developing grant proposals and applying for funds; help making sense of information from sponsors; creating proposal checklists to ensure you have everything ready to submit; acting as a liaison with grant- related offices on campus. Manage Your Award : facilitate grant kick-off meetings and project management meetings to help PI’s manage projects and stay on-track; process travel, purchase supplies and equipment, provide stipends (and more); provide monthly financial reports; act as your liaison with the Office of Sponsored Programs.
