Nicole Wesley facilitated a Professional Development Workshop to middle and high school teachers at Dahlstrom Middle School. She also taught a master modern class at Heather Stolle’s School of Dance to support Texas State Alumna J ulia Hutcherson’s Hillsong Residency in Australia. Nicole directed two holiday concerts for Wimberley Dance Elite; one at EmilyAnn Teatre and Gardens and one at the First Baptist Church of Wimberley. Tis year Wimberley Dance Elite collaborated with the Starlight Symphony on Waltz of the Flowers. [ 3] STUDENT ACCOLADES Dance students, Angela Ocnaschnek , Brennah Galvin , and Daysha Gonzalez's screendance pieces were selected to screen during the Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema at the Recital Hall. Te festival accepts dance cinema works from around the world exclusively through FilmFreeway, to be curated by a panel of experts and programmed for screening events. STRUTTERS GO TO TDEA Tammy Fife presented a workshop on Marketing Dance Teams at TDEA (Texas Dance Educators' Association) in January. Te Texas Dance Educators Association is a convention that includes workshops, technique classes, exhibits, master classes, and performances. TDEA attendees include dance/drill team instructors, school administrators, college students, future educators, professionally associated businesses and exhibitors, and All-State dance team members. Student group, DanceWorks, performed representing the Texas State Dance Division and Strutter Ofcers performed to represent the Texas State Dance Team. College of Fine Arts and Communication | 9
