Friedenthal’s Top 10 Best Teatrical Productions, Doubt 2 Michael Maresca's TEDx talk “One Voice and the Pattern that Could Change Everything” 3 Costume design professor Brandon McWilliams presenting at the Southwest USITT Conference THEATRE Acting, Musical Theatre, Per formance and Production, Teacher Certif ication in Theatre, Technical Production, & Theatre FACULTY ACCOLADES Nevermore: Te Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe , featuring Acting Faculty member Natalie Blackman , was named one of Robert Faires’ Top 10 Treasures of Teatre of 2018 by the Austin Chronicle . Linda Nenno Breining stage managed Tom Stoppard's Indian Ink for Austin Shakespeare at Te Long Center, Rollins Teatre in February. In March, she will be directing three new operas for One Ounce Opera, including an opera by the Pulitzer Prize-winning Librettist, Mark Campbell. Te operas open in Austin at the Museum of Human Achievement on March 22. Babs George’s performance in Doubt was praised in Andrew J. Friedenthal’s Top 10 Best Teatrical Productions in 2018 in the Austin American Statesman . “When it comes to actors there are none more talented in Austin than Babs George,” Friedenthal wrote, calling her performance in Doubt , “a tour de force.” Being Rose , a flm by writer/director Rod McCall and starring Cybill Shepard, James Brolin, and Pam Grier, is now available on Amazon and I-tunes. Randy Huke was set decorator, and her late husband John Huke was Production Designer. Te flm was John’s last and is dedicated to him. Eugene Lee will be inducted into the Texas Institute of Letters at their annual awards weekend in April. Te award celebrates the excellence of his work furthering the state of literary arts in Texas. Eugene is joined by other notable writers such as Wes Anderson, Robert Faires, Carrie Fountain, Xavier Garcia, Wendell Mayo, and Jesus Salvador Treviño.
