1 Elvia Perrin Perpendicular to the Force of Gravity 2 Te book, Entangled – Papers! – Notes , designed by Alessandro Segalini 3 Clover Cochran’s bronze art, Iron Horse 26 2 | January & February | College News ART AND DESIGN Art , Art Education, Art Histor y, Communication Design, Photography, & Studio Art FACULTY ACCOLADES Sterling Allen opened his solo exhibition, Deadfall , as part of the Cage Match Project at the Museum of Human Achievement in Austin on November 11. Te work was on display 24 hours per day thru January 15. As part of the M12 collective, Margo Handwerker had an exhibition at Sala Diaz in San Antonio from December 8, 2017 - January 27, 2018. Opening reception: December 8, 6 - 10 PM. MiHyun Kim was invited to be a guest speaker at the Design Edu Today podcast. Te Design Edu Today podcast is a bi-weekly conversation with design professionals defning interactive design best practices for classroom instruction. Guests are chosen based on their contributions and leadership within the interactive design feld. Te podcast was recorded on December 6th, 2017 and was aired and published on the Design Edu Today website in the beginning of January, 2018. Mark Menjivar’s project Capricho, has been acquired by the Museum of Fine Arts Houston’s Hirsch Library Collection. Te fnal book form of the project was designed by Molly Sherman . Elvia Perrin participated in a group exhibition Light at Wally Workman Gallery. Te opening reception was Saturday December 2 from 6-8pm. [ 1 ] Northern Triangle , a Borderland Collective project, led by Jason Reed , Mark Menjivar and Erina Duganne opened at Washington and Lee University’s Staniar Gallery in Lexington, VA. Mark and Jason led four workshops with students and gave a lecture in the Mudd Center for Ethics Lecture Series. Te exhibition was open until December 8th.
