She discussed her article, "War Stories: Trump's Narratives and Freedom of the Press," published in Communication Law Review . Casey Chilton presented “De-centering: Avoiding Emotional Burnout” to Te Organization of Student Social Workers (OSSW) at Texas State University. He also presented “Developing and Giving Efective Presentations” to the Texas Youth Preparedness Council as they prepare to give presentations on their individual emergency preparedness projects they have implemented in their schools and communities across Texas. Rebekah Fox spoke to Dr. Kellie Marin's class on Contemporary Political Rhetoric at Penn State University. She discussed her article, "War Stories: Trump's Narratives and Freedom of the Press," published in Communication Law Review . Cassandra LeClair spoke about the topic of “Reclaiming My Past” on Dr. Judy Oskam's Podcast, “Stories of Change & Creativity.” Dr. Susie Bannon discussed “Life After Prison: Removing the Stigma and Finding True Healing” on the podcast, “Being Whole, with Dr. Cassandra LeClair.” STUDENT ACCOLADES Zachary Perkins (B.A., 2021) was featured in the University Star and will soon publish a memoir entitled “How Much Time Do You Have?”. Perkins was mentored through the writing process by Cassandra LeClair. In the article, Marisa Nunez writes, "While in quarantine throughout the pandemic, Zachary Perkins found himself with ample time to think of his past and relive his experiences. She continues, "Along the way, he realized that sharing the words he wrote could potentially help others. Tis realization pushed him to self-publish his debut memoir that details his experiences from his early childhood to where he is today." You can read the article here. [1] Michael Burns worked his 7th Olympic Games in Beijing, China and spent one month on site. As part of the production management and logistics team with NBC's TODAY Show , he worked closely with athletes to coordinate their travel and also prepare them for their interviews. Michael also oversaw prop sourcing, research related to cultural segments, technical coordination for taped shoots, and COVID protocols.
