DANCE Dance Studies, Per formance & Choreography, Single Teaching Certif ication, & Dual Teaching Certif ications FACULTY ACCOLADES Kaysie Seitz Brown presented Stream in Motion 8.0 with CIMTEYA (Creation in Motion Touring Ensemble for Young Audiences) at Evans Auditorium on March 26 as a family matinee and on March 27 to a full house of elementary school children. [1] Shay Hartung and Amanda McCorkle directed Student Dance Concert featuring the works of Dance majors and faculty Torens Johnson and Amanda McCorkle on March 31 through April 1. Special guest choreographer, Ellen Bartel also created a piece with Texas State University dancers. Gabriel “Wicket” Jaochico was featured in Texas State University's “Faculty Feature” for bringing Breakdancing to Texas State University. [2] Michelle Nance and Torens Johnson travelled with students to the American college Dance Festival March 5-10 in Huntsville, TX. Christa Oliver organized Merge Dance Company's tour. Under the direction of Torens Johnson , the company taught masterclasses at Collin College and Arlington Heights High School. On the last day of their tour, the company performed for six high schools from the Dallas/ Arlington area at Arlington ISD Center for Visual and Performing Arts.
