C3 The Center for Communication, Collaboration & Creativit y (C3) HOW C3 CAN HELP YOU IN THE NEW YEAR: The C3 Research Center team would like to wish all faculty and staff a Happy Holidays and to express our excitement in helping our amazing researchers find and manage their project funding in the new year! Below is a list of what the C3 team can do for you: GET STARTED: • Brainstorm and develop your ideas for research or creative projects. • Put your ideas into words you can send to a potential sponsor. • Plan your project with a simple work plan that creates goals and timelines. • Design a project budget. • Help you find and reach out to sponsors who may want to fund your project. • Create a step-by-step checklist to help you apply for a specific grant. • Connect you with faculty across campus or community organizations to collaborate on projects. • Facilitate team planning meetings. • Review, edit and proofread funding proposals. F INISH SUCCESSFULLY: • Understand the steps to set up and manage your funded project at Texas State. • Facilitate Team Kick-off Meetings, Team Update Meetings and Final Reporting Meetings to help you and your team successfully complete your project. • Set up a spending plan with monthly reports to keep you on track. • Provide updates and grant reports to help you track your project’s progress and spending. • Assist with reviewing programmatic and financial reports to sponsors. • Act as a liaison between you and other funding related Texas State offices like the Office of Sponsored Programs, Human Resources and Purchasing.
