To fnd out more, please visit: www.txstgalleries.org SHARED STUDIOS AUGUST 27 – DECEMBER 14, 2018 Shared_Studios is a global public arts initiative. Each Shared Studios_Portal is a gold shipping container equipped with immersive audio and video technology inside. When you enter one, you come face-to-face with someone in a distant Portal live and full-body, as if in the same room. The TXST_Portal ranged from unstructured "open hours" to curated events, such as Shared_Meals, expert roundtables, and performances. The TXST_Portal was located in San Marcos, Texas, on the campus of Texas State University between Evans Liberal Arts and Flowers Hall. The Portal was run by Texas State Galleries, a contemporary art gallery on campus that is housed within the university’s School of Art and Design.
