The performance included many talented Texas State students including: Kaleb Quinn , Madeline Wong Perez , Joann Gilliam , Morgan Montgomery , Lizzy Tucker , Taylor Aronson , Emiliano Morales , Nicholas Dondero , Peyton Herzog , Mariah Epps , Kaitlyn O’ Leary , Kimmi Zimmermann , DJ Bartly , Cayla Primous , Paul Amrani , Andrew Fleming , Allan Lopez , Zephaniah Wages , Macy Skaggs , Eden Witvoet , Madeline Bourgeois , Ian Deane , Jack Roark , Melissa Cicero , Mackenzie Mulligan , Jennifer Gonzalez , Jules Cabrera , Kyrti Douglass , Dustin White , Ryan Scott Long , AJ Uridales , Nicole Wilkins , Kelsey Nelson , Vanessa Gutierrez , and Derek Konvicka . HAIR 21 Ashley Hildrith (B.F.A. Acting alumni) opened Oct. 15th in the Off-Broadway production of The Play that Goes Wrong , in the role of Annie. [4] Jorrel Javier (Musical Theatre alumni) was featured on a national American Express commercial which will air all through this holiday season. Micaela Lamas (Musical Theatre alumni) starred in the episode “Silent Floor” in an episodic anthology horror series called Tales of Phantasmagoria that can be found at the Moon St Productions’ Youtube Channel. Austin Owens Kelly (Musical Theatre alumni) just released their new single "Autumn Hymn." Chandler Lovelle (Musical Theatre alumni) has a role in the new HBO Max Show The Sex Lives of College Girls , now streaming on HBO. Jeremiah Porter (Musical Theatre alumni) and current student Alex Aponte opened Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night at Music Theatre Wichita. Jeremiah plays Sebastian and Alex is in the ensemble. Ben Toomer and Edwin Bates (Musical Theatre alumni) perform in the national tour of the Carole King Musical . Anna Uzele (Musical Theatre alumni) performed with the company of Six in the 95th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Rachel Webb (Musical Theatre alumni) performed in Kristen Chenoweth’s concert For The Girls in Lubbock in October. Rachel also opened a production of Smokey Joe’s Cafe at Casa Mañana in Fort Worth as Brenda. Bentley Young (Musical Theatre alumni) performed in musical theatre composer and lyricist Drew Gasparini’s New Voices . The concert aired on YouTube on November 19th. DEPARTMENT ACCOLADES The New Works Festival opened November 9th to packed houses. The shows included a workshop of Pa’Fuera, Pa’Fuera, Pa’Fuera [5] by Marvin Gonzalez De Leon directed by M.F.A. Directing candidate Jess Hawthorne Fiene , and Teen Dad [6] by Adrienne Dawes directed by M.F.A. directing candidate Stacey Hawking . The shows were packed with excellent Texas State talent including: Vivian Noble , Sydney Cooper , Josh Quidilla , Andrew John , Paola Sordo , Schaeffer Certenberg , AJ Jackson , Frida Cantu , Daniela Recabarren , Miranda Marquez , Henry Delbello , Devon Khalsa , Sofia Garcia-Leal , and Ricardo Lozano . Undergraduate students Kylie Gutierrez and Morgan Peterson were the assistant directors for Pa’ Fuera, Pa’ Fuera, Pa’Fuera . Ali Gutierrez served as the dramaturg for the workshop, Ryan Polk and Harriet Butler served as the assistant stage manager and Isha Patel served as the deck crew. For Teen Dad , Mallory Keeler served as assistant director, Josh Roberson , Hannah Derrick and Zach Masso served as assistant stage manager, Ryan Scott Long served as the sound designer, and Martay Whitfield served as the production dramaturg.
