DANCE Dance Studies, Per formance & Choreography, Single Teaching Certif ication, & Dual Teaching Certif ications FACULTY ACCOLADES During November and December, Baer’s screendance works will be screening in Australia, Brazil, Chile, Greece, Kosovo, Russia and the US. Ana co-produced the Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema and showing her traveling installation "Latent Spaces Reframed" showed in Campinas Brazil in November. This installation of screendance works was created in collaboration with Richard Hall, Michelle Nance, Cheri Prough DeVol , and Heike Salzer . Michelle Nance presented her dance entitled “Deep” at Opening Door Dance Theatre. Christa Oliver’s choreography is featured in Zach Theatre’s A Christmas Carol . Performances run from November 17th-December 31st. [1] LeAnne Smith directed Opening Door Dance Theatre, in addition to choreographing and performing in a new work “Threshold,” featuring alumni and faculty members: Kaysie Seitz Brown, Misti Galvan, Samantha Furry, Michelle Nance , and Amanda McCorkle . ALUMNI ACCOLADES Cherie Carson’s (1981) dance film Water Spirit has been accepted into 28 film festivals around the world and received 17 awards. Most recently in November, Water Spirit was presented at the Tiete International Film Awards in Brazil. [2] Rebecca Gamborino and Daniel Garcia created the College Dance Film Fest specializing on works by emerging artists and students. Wendy Hassenpflug (1992), professor at California State University, Northridge, and has published a book on Yoga, entitled Namaste: A Journey Within The Art and Practice of Yoga.
