She served as an adjudicator for ArtFields 2023, in Lake City, SC, a visual arts competition that draws submissions from twelve Southeastern states and culminates in a nine- day exhibition. Jennifer’s work will be included at NADA (New Art Dealers Alliance) Miami Art Fair with Jonathan Hopson Gallery. Jeff Davis was commissioned by Alexandria in collaboration with Judson Design Associates to design the brand identity, marketing materials and environmental graphic and way-finding system for the 8800 Technology Forest Aaccelerator Incubator complex (designed by Gensler Architects) located in The Woodlands, Texas. Alexandria, is a S&P 500 real estate investment and development company focused on collaborative life science, agtech, and technology campuses bringing the most innovative R1 (Research 1) universities and corporations together in a single multi-disciplinary ecosystem. [2] Jeff Davis was commissioned by H-E-B Corporation in collaboration with Judson Design Associates to design the 2022 Annual Report to shareholders for H-E-B Corporation. He began Phase–2 of the environmental design system for the City of Port Arthur, Texas. Commissioned by the City of Port Arthur in 2020 in collaboration with Clark Condon Landscape Architects and Judson Design Associates to research, plan and design the way-finding system and highway identity monument signage as part of Port Arthur’s multi-year re-urbanization project. Erina Duganne co-organized a conference in San Antonio with Liz Wells and David Bate from the journal photographies and Libby Rowe from UTSA on the theme of boundaries and borders. Jonathan Faber’s solo exhibition Idyll Currents opened November 4th at the Cohen Center for the Arts, Alfred University, Alfred, NY. The exhibition runs until December 4th. Coinciding with the exhibition, Faber did a public talk on December 2nd at Nevins Theater for the School of Art & Design at Alfred University. He spoke about his practice and current processes as an artist. Faber also did studio visits with graduate and senior painting students during his time on campus. Over the fall semester, Faber worked with the Alfred University Exhibition Design class, to develop and design the Idyll Currents exhibition. [3] Shannon Hayes Faseler’s new work will be featured in the exhibition Transient Nature at the Wright Gallery, College Station. It will run through January 2023. Tommy Fitzpatrick will have new paintings in a group show with Hollis Taggart Gallery- Chelsea NYC. The show is titled Shape Shifting and opened November 10th at Southport, Connecticut. Estéban Hinojosa led students from his Introduction to Fine Arts classes on a field trips to the Museum of Fine Art Houston to discuss Renaissance and Baroque Painting, and to the San Antonio Museum of Art to discuss Egyptian, Greek and Roman Art, [4] and to the Blanton Museum of Art to discuss Renaissance and Early Modern painting. Estéban also led students from his Art History I class on a field trip to the Blanton Museum of Art to discuss ancient Greek ceramics and sculpture. Dr. Kevin Jenkins moderated a Q&A session centered on issues of transgendered artmaking, exhibition, and representation with BFA student artists Shelby Feinberg and Ben Soderberg for their duo exhibition, We Taught Ourselves a Lot, but We Taught Each Other More, in the FLEX gallery. Alice J Lee’s solo exhibition, Between Two , opened on October 7 through November 4 at the Juanita Harvey Art Gallery at Midwestern State University. She was invited as a visiting artist through their endowed O’Donnell Visiting Artists program. [5] Jeffrey Lieber was a featured speaker at the Rice Design Alliance’s 50th Anniversary Civic Forum, sponsored by the Rice University School of Architecture. He participated in a Texas Historical Commission meeting held in Mineral Wells in his capacity as a State Board of Review member. The State Board of Review considers the architectural or archeological integrity of a property, decides if a site merits nomination, and determines the appropriate level of significance, local, state, or national.
