The daylong program exposed students to the variety of career options in today’s media world. They joined students from other area universities at the Austin American-Statesman and worked virtually with students at other Cox properties in Ohio, Florida and Georgia. The students learned Design Thinking and worked in teams to create an innovative product or service that Cox Media Group will consider launching. The students included: journalism majors Ashley Garcia and Nathalie Cohetero , electronic media major Gregory Arellano , PR major Alicia Vasquez and DMI major Hector Sifuentes . The Austin Day in the Life program was organized in part by journalism alumnus Richard Romeo III , real estate team lead in the Statesman Advertising Department. Romeo was recently named one of the Top 30 under 30 by the Cox Media Group. College of Fine Arts and Communication | 13
