College of Fine Arts and Communication | 17 OCTOBER 10, 2016 Texas State Symphony Orchestra launched its 2016-2017 season, in collaboration with the Texas State Choirs and San Marcos High School Chamber Orchestra. The concert featured the U.S. premiere of guest composer John Peterson’s Shadows and Light , with soloists Kimberley Sandoval (soprano) and Richard Novak (tenor), a reflective work inspired by the September 11 terrorist attacks.
