Austin served as the primary organizer for the national African American Communication and Culture #ScholarStrike Conference, held virtually in Septem- ber. Te event was hailed a success with 25 synchronous presentations, 17 asynchronous presentations, and over 6,000 attendees. All videos, synchronous recordings and asynchronous uploads are available on the AACC #Scholar- Strike Conference YouTube Channel. [ 1 ] Jasmine pub- lished “Fighting Mr. Sleepy: A Metaphor for Black Gradu- ate Student Experiences” in Health Communication. She published “Te micro-skills of collective communication design work: An academic team’s development of sense- breaking messages” in Communication Studies. Jasmine also published “Microaggressions, stereotypes, and social stigmatization in the lived experiences of socially marginal- ized patients/clients: A social justice perspective” in Preju- dice, Stigma, Privilege, and Oppression . Susannah Bannon joined the editorial board of a new peer-reviewed journal entitled, Te Journal of Higher Education in Prison . Tis is the only peer-reviewed journal that publishes solely on topics and issues in higher education in prison and provides the growing feld of higher education in prison a forum to discuss the ways that theory can inform teaching and learning in prison. Steven Beebe gave a virtual talk to discuss his book, C. S. Lewis and the Craft of Communication , published earlier this year. A recording of the presentation is available here.
