McWilliams 6 Randy Redroad directing the flm Edge of the World that had its festival premiere in Dallas Tis devised project began with an invitation by Te University of Brassilia and Coletiva Teatro to Texas State University colleagues Lauren Lane and Michael Rau , who traveled to Brazil last summer. [4] In addition Ms. Lane and the team presented a panel entitled International Collaboration at the annual conference of Te Association for Teatre in Higher Education in Boston. Eugene Lee has been cast in Christopher Demos-Brown’s new play, American Son , opening at the Booth Teatre on Broadway on November 4. Te production stars Kerry Washington ( Scandal ) and Steven Pasquale ( Rescue Me ) and will be directed by Kenny Leon (Tony Award winner for the 2014 revival of A Raison in the Sun with Denzel Washington). Michael Maresca completed implementation of his One Voice Coach Certifcation Program, and certifed three new coaches to teach One Voice privately. Brandon R. McWilliams designed costumes for Henry V at the Illinois Shakespeare Festival [5] and is currently designing the world premiere of Te Boatman at Flint Rep in Michigan. Phillip Owen has been accepted into the Leadership Austin 2019 class. Te organization was founded by the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce with the mission of providing leadership training to those with a passion for building community. Monica Pasut desiged the costumes for Shrewd Production’s, Te Afterparty and Uma Sonata Familiar , a co-production of Texas State University and Coletiva Teatro in Brazil. Bryan Poyser is in post-production on Gopherit , a new short flm that reunites him with actors Heather Kafka (who starred in his Independent Spirit Award- nominated feature flm Lovers of Hate , which premiered in competition at the Sundance Film Festival) and Brian McGuire & Justin Arnold (who both were featured in Bryan’s most recent feature flm Love and Air Sex , which premiered at the SXSW Film Festival). Two of Bryan’s students, Joshua Demings and Bailey Mangan , worked on Gopherit as production assistants. Gopherit will screen at flm festivals starting in early 2019.
