1 Ana Baer Carrillo’s screendance LaSabina 2 Shay Ishii Dance Company’s production of Dancestry Anew at the Long Center in Austin 3 Dance group Body Shift in the eleven person "activation" co-choreographed by Brandon Gonzalez DANCE Dance Studies, Per formance & Choreography, Single Teaching Certif ication, & Dual Teaching Certif ications FACULTY ACCOLADES Ana Baer Carrillo’s screendance LaSabina was screened at prestigious festivals in Spain, Brazil, and at three venues in Mexico from June - September. [ 1 ] Wild-er- ness , featuring dancer Michelle Nance with original music by Richard Hall was screened in Guadalajara, Oaxaca, Los Angeles, London, and in Perth, Scotland where it was a fnalist at the Screen.Dance Festival. Her newest screendance, Tule (also featuring music by Richard Hall ) also premiered at the Screen.Dance Festival in Perth, Scotland in May. Ana produced her installation, Latent Spaces , in Brazil and Mexico in May and June; in addition to co-producting the San Souci Festival of Dance Cinema in Brazil in May. She also co-produced Te International Congress of Performing Arts at the University of San Nicolas de Hidalgo, Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico in June. Kaysie Seitz Brown was invited to give the keynote address at the Round Rock ISD Arts Integration Institute on August 8. Michelle Nance and Ana Baer (as part of WECreate Productions) were awarded an artistic residency through “Percolate – Dance Limerick, Ireland” August 26- September 5. Shay Ishii Dance Company’s production of Dancestry Anew at the Long Center in Austin celebrated the ffth anniversary of Dancestry in June. Scott Vandenberg designed lighting for the concert. [ 2 ] Christa Oliver collaborated with Dr.Vassiliki Rapti (Harvard) and Dr. Zenovia Toloudi (Dartmouth) on a proposal for NeMLA's 51st Annual Convention. Teir proposal, "Citizen Tales Commons: Imperceptibly Of Walls" was accepted by NeMLA, and they will present at Boston University in March. 12 | September | College News
