Delivery was also seen in Texas State University’s Black and Latino Playwright Conference last fall. Jeremiah Porter and Kaycee Swierc produced Black Voices Matter: A Cabaret for Change in July as part of JP+KC Productions. Vic Shuttee (M.F.A. Dramatic Writing) was named a finalist for his play Bunco State for the Campfire Theatre Festival in Boise, Idaho. Kaycee Swierc , Jeremiah Porter , Rachel Webb , Ana Yi Puig , Bella Coppola , Kyra Belle Johnson , Mo Mckynzie , and Vivian Noble worked together to produce Women Right Now produced by JP+KC Productions—a fundraising cabaret in partnership with the National Organization for Women Foundation. Avery Wright (B.F.A. Theatre Teacher Certification '22) assisted one of his former high school teachers in producing the world premiere of Tom Sawyer for Kids via Zoom, as well as assistant directing Puffs via Zoom alongside the same teacher. He also taught a small series of workshops on script analysis for students. ALUMNI ACCOLADES Annalise V. Caudle (M.F.A. Design '18) was recently hired by Oklahoma Baptist University to teach classes in design and production. Bella Coppola (MT '20) was in New Works, A Night of Musical Compositions by Adam Laporte. The show featured new material by composer Adam Laporte and was streamed in early September. Jennifer Foster (MT '14) plays Boom Boom in Netflix’s new movie The Babysitter: Killer Queen which is now available for streaming. [ 7 ] Andrew Heinrich (M.F.A. Dramatic Writing 2018) had a zoom staged reading of his play Movement of Conclusion through The Public Theatre of San Antonio. His short play Canvas has an online production at Silverthorn Theatre in Turner’s Falls Massachusetts as part of their Short & Sweet New Play Festival. Heinrich also appeared as an actor in Joel Stone’s The Calling through the Public Theatre of San Antonio. He recently directed No. 6 by alumni playwright TJ Young at St. Phillip’s College. [8] Jorrel Javier (MT '18) was published in Theatre Mania’s article announcing potential Tony Award nominations for this season. Jorrel is eligible to be nominated for “Best Featured Actor in a Musical” for his role in The Lightning Thief . Ben Mayne (MT '11) performed a song from Broadway’s Girl From the North Country in CNN’s Fourth of July Special. [9 ] Blaire Medina (MT '18) released her debut single "Wildflower" which is available on all major music streaming services. Mike Musitano (B.F.A. Acting '03) has enjoyed a diverse career since graduating. He worked in television broadcasting for KEYE CBS 42 in Austin for a number of years before moving to Earl Miller Productions where he provided jumbotron coverage for UT sporting events. From working in the scene shop as a student, he learned MIG welding, which years later led him to his current position with a metal fabrication company in Austin. “Today I am the Quality Control & Safety Manager with a professional certification for paint inspection and special inspection. I have helped build federal infrastructure projects all across the country including multiple train stations in New York City, water and wastewater treatment plants in Hawaii, and even a zoo in California. The work I have done is utilized and/or viewed by millions of people every day. Though my BFA did not take me directly down the path of an artist, construction is a production like no other. I really feel proud of my degree as it prepared me for all of the drama in the construction field and all the variables of putting on a good show for all parties involved.” Carlos R. Nine (M.F.A. Design '20) was recently hired at Northwestern State University as the Lighting and Sound professor and Building Manager. He is currently working on lighting for the live stream production of I love you, You're Perfect, Now change . Brandon Rosen (B.F.A. Design and Technology '14) is currently working as Assistant Lighting Designer on the filming of Diana on Broadway. Audrey Webb (M.F.A., Dramatic Writing 2019) completed filming a short movie The New Shoes featuring fellow Bobcats Daniella Treviño and Jonah Fujikawa . The New Shoes has no dialogue, so it's truly universal. This film will have legs to take it around the world. It's an uplifting, inspiring, romantic story that reminds us that sometimes love can just sneak up on you when you least expect it! Also, her microshort movie Truth & Endurance is an official selection of the Pandemic Film Festival. Her TV pilot "Dead Name" won the Diversity Film & Script Showcase and is also a semi-finalist in the Outfest Screenwriting Lab.
