DANCE Dance Studies, Per formance & Choreography, Single Teaching Certif ication, & Dual Teaching Certif ications FACULTY ACCOLADES Kaysie Seitz Brown taught modern and ballet technique dance classes to middle and high school students at the Hays Color Guard Intensive in Buda, TX, June 5 -7. June 17th, she presented STREAM in Motion – Enhancing Academics Through Dance for Young Audiences, a presentation on her scholarly/ creative work with CIM TEYA at the Children Youth Performance Conference, Young People’s Theatre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and August 9th, she was invited to provide an experiential workshop on strategies for integrating creative movement with academic topics such as science and reading for the Round Rock ISD Arts Integration Institute in Round Rock, TX. [1] Ana Baer Carrillo was in residency at The Centro Cultural Clavijero, Morelia, MX from 08/01 to 08/ 05/2023 installing Cuerpo en Tránsito, the screendance installation with 3 of her films: Olho Nu, WCSpaces: London and Parakata. Cuerpo en Tránsito was up from August 05 – August 25. From June to September her screendance piece HinterTerra (a collaboration with Michelle Nance and Richard Hall) was screened at FilmFest by Rogue Dancer, Raleigh, NC, USA; Dance Days Chania, Greece; Festival de Video Danza Cuerpo Digital, Cochabamba, Colombia; Festival del Cinema di Cefalú, Palermo, Italia; Land Art Moving Biennale 2023/24, Kjerringøy, Norway; and was awarded Honorable Mention by The Huntington Beach Cultural Film Fest, USA. Sympoiesis was screened at Festival de Video Danza Cuerpo Digital, Cochabamba, Colombia and Mañana Film Festival, Querétaro, MX. IXCHEL was screened at FilmFest by Rogue Dancer, Raleigh, NC, USA. Dancing LA: Stay Behind the Yellow Line was screened at Dança em Foco, Rio de Janeiro, BR and 60 Seconds International Film Festival, Islamabad, Pakistan. La Sabina was screened at ELO(KUVA) KUU in Tampere, Finland and Fisura International Festival of Experimental Film/ Video, CDMX, MX.
