Kyra Belle Johnson (MT ’21) , Cameron Monroe Thomas (MT ’21) and Carson Hampton Palmer (MT ’24) are in the North American tour of Beauty and the Beast . Quinn Kent(TEPR '25) is now the full time assistant technical director at Santa Fe Opera. Lacey Kohn (MT ’25) is in the national tour of Chicago . Juliana Lamia (MT ’21) was in The Producers at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival. Ashly Maddox (MT ’20) was in the film The Four Seasons . Mandi Tapia Pace is the theatre director at Keller High School which won the UIL one act play state meet. Carson Hampton Palmer (MT ’24) was in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Broadway Sacramento. Jeremiah Porter (MT ’21) was in Ragtime at the Goodspeed Opera House. Bryson Price’s (Film Concentration ’25) short film T aking It To The Streets won Best Texas Student Short at the 2025 Oak Cliff Film Festival and Best Comedy at the 2025 Austin International Film Festival. Cayla Primous (MT ’22) , Lily Kren (MT 21) and Allan Lopez (MT 24) were in Sweet Charity at the Gulfshore Playhouse Austin Riley (MT ’25) was in Sister Act and Mary Poppins at the New London Barn Playhouse. Kimmi Zimmerman (MT ’22) was in Legally Blonde at Scenework Studios. DEPARTMENT ACCOLADES Texas State’s School of Theatre, Dance, and Film opened the New American Play Festival September 5th-7th. The Festi- val featured two new developing plays Umoja by LaDarrion Williams and Sanctuary by Tim Boland. The casts included Bobcats: Cosi Arthurs , Lance Berry , Edie Setnick , Uzziel Ruiz Ortiz , Deric Marsh , Arianna Pierce , Ethan Cruz , Bethzy Aguilar , Ryan Hoxie , Liz Olaribigbe , Ivan David- son , Javion Crenshaw , Steven Young II , Cadence Seagraves , Kele Nwanju , and Cleofas Soto V .
