12 | April & May | College News DANCE Dance Studies, Per formance & Choreography, Single Teaching Certif ication, & Dual Teaching Certif ications FACULTY ACCOLADES Ana Baer’s screendance Sympoiesis (2022) was selected by the Kuala Lumpur International Film Awards in Malaysia. Sympoiesis (2022) and Parakata (2018) were screened at the Congreso de Ciencias Jurídicas, COCONEXPO, Morelia, MX. Ana Baer’s screendance Revolutions (2024) was selected by the Latino and Native American Film Festival in New Haven, CT. Revolutions (2020) and Being Together (2025) were invited to screen at the Disabled and Proud Gallery in the Alkek Library at Texas State University (TXST). Being Together is also a collaboration with Body Shift, Merge Dance Company, and Professor of Instruction Richard D. Hall. Ana Baer’s screendance Imágenes de una Realidad (2020) was screened at Moving-Image-Arts, Toronto, Canada. Ana Baer presented her research at the Centro Nacional de Las Artes in Mexico City, MX, and scouted locations for her next screendance to be filmed during the fall. Ana Baer produced Cinedanse , an evening of screendance works by Merge Dance Company, and the Sans Souci Festi- val of Dance Cinema, where she screened Blow Me Away and London Vignettes . [1] Ana Baer was awarded funding from the Center for Interna- tional Studies for her upcoming research in Mexico City. Ana Baer’s screendance TerraMontes a collaboration with Professor Michelle Nance and Professor of Instruction Richard D.Hall was awarded honorary mention by the Athens Film Festival, Greece. Ana Baer’s screendance in collaboration with Michelle Nance and Amanda McCorkle , Urba Terra Bartzelona will be screened in the programming Ondulaciones, which is part of the following festivals: May 2nd: Encuentro Internacional de Danza Contemporánea - Entre Fronteras (UABC Campus Mexicali, Baja California) May 4th: Muestra Internacional de Danza/Tijuana - Cuerpos en Tránsito (Tijuana, Baja California) 2 3 Ana Baer screened London Vignettes CIM TEYA, directed by Kaysie Seitz Brown performed STREAM in Motion 10.0 at Hernandez Elementary CIM TEYA backstage at Austin Community College 1
