Faculty Accolades Shawn Camp’s solo show Aphotic Zone is currently on exhibit at Northern-Southern Gallery in Austin through September 5. Shawn will also be included in 5 Decades , a group show at Gallery Shoal Creek in Austin, which opens on September 21. Jeff Dell finished his residency at the Charles Adams Studio Project in Lubbock in May and had a solo show called Boundary Extension at Art Palace Gallery in Houston that ran from the end of May until July 30. He currently has a show at Flatbed Press in Austin called Sightings that will run through mid- October. The opening reception was August 21. Jeff will have another solo show at Galleri Urbane in Dallas in November called Dreamland . Joey Fauerso participated in a group show, Name It by Trying to Name It : Open Sessions 2014-2015 , at The Drawing Center in New York that opened on July 16, 2015. Tommy Fitzpatrick was commissioned by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas to create a large painting for the lobby. Tommy will also be included in a new book about Contemporary artists in Texas entitled State of the Arts . The book, written by June Mattingly, features 37 contemporary artists from Texas. Laritza Garcia’s work showcases at New Acquisitions: Contemporary Art Jewelry at the Racine Art Museum; Earrings Galore: traveling exhibition at Heidi Lowe Gallery DE and Society of North American Goldsmiths Conference, Boston MA. Laritza participated as an invited artist at the American Craft Council Show, St. Paul River Centre MN, juried marketplace. Upcoming lecture: “Connecting Outreach, Methods and Pedagogy” along with Powder Coat workshop for small metals at Humboldt State University, CA. Shelley Jackson was nominated as an Alpha Chi Favorite Professor for 2015. She also exhibited her illustration work in a show, The Process of Picture Books , at the Cotuit Center for the Arts in ART & DESIGN
