Through an array of mediums and interests, each artist has continued a practice that at one point unfolded with- in San Marcos. There is a shared point of passage—a time and place that impacts their work as artists and more deeply, their identities reflected in that work. Letting the River Spill explores that point of passage and how it seeps into these personal trajectories. Organized by Rebecca Marino , this show features work by Eric Acuña , Hollie Brown , Erin Carle , Shane Cole , Sydney Guzman , Shaun Haugen , Aimee Jones , Alexander Kamel- hair , Komie , Chantal Lesley , Eden Lopez , Alexis Mabry , Benjamin H. McVey , Monica Mohnot , Madison Nelson , Jacqueline Overby , Jessamyn Plotts , Cat Rigdon , Ryan Runcie , Michelle Monique Sotolongo Riquer , Kennedy Swift , Michael Villarreal , and Erin Carle , Sydney Guzman , Jessamyn Plotts , and Kennedy Swift in collaboration with American Communal Industries. Knobs and Bobs , Samantha Neu, FLEX exhibition August 24–Sept. 4, 2025 Knobs and Bobs is a solo exhibition featuring three large-scale sculptures and a series of corresponding prints. This body of work explores the uncanny—the familiar made strange— through forms that are both grotesque and playful, erotic and abject. Drawing from childhood imagery and bodily forms, it constructs a surreal, unsettling playground that invites both fascination and discomfort. The bubble-gum pink sculptures suggest both malleability and exposure. They beckon touch but resist interaction, echo- ing childhood curiosity twisted into ambiguous adult desire.
