College of Fine Arts and Communication | 3 26th. State VASE is an annual visual art event recogniz- ing exemplary high school student artwork at the state level. The workshop, attended by 32 high school teach- ers from across the state of Texas, provided an engaging and creative experience in needle felting techniques. Dr. Pérez de Miles and Dr. Jenkins were assisted by three dedicated art education majors enrolled in ARTT 3373, which further enriched the collaborative and inspiring environment for all participants. This workshop high- lighted the importance of hands-on learning and profes- sional development for art educators. [3], [4] Elvia Perrin will be exhibiting 2 prints Vestige + En- gram at the Marfa Invitational Open, Hotel Saint George, Marfa, TX. Elvia Perrin’s print "Botanical 1" was chosen to be in the New Drawings Exhibition, Kentler International Drawing Space, Brooklyn, NY. Juried by MOMA Draw- ings and Prints Curator Samantha Friedman. Jessamyn Plotts’ paper, "Mass Media, Art, and Ob- ject-Oriented Ontology", was accepted for presentation and publication in the Third International Symposium on Communication, Digitalization and Society, hosted by Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Communication together with Zagreb School of Business and Mykolas Romeris University. Nishra Ranpura was one of the exhibiting artists for Data through Design (DxD)’s group exhibition Corpus: Bodies of Data, that was on view from March 22nd to April 6th, 2025, at BRIC House Gallery in Brooklyn, New York, organized by NYC Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) and Beta NYC. Featured on NYC Department of Records’ platforms, Nishra Ranpura’s interactive piece “TapeStreet: The Fabric of NYC” used their open dataset- NYC Honorary Street Names Map, to computationally generate a collec- tion of aural and textural tapestries. [5] Randall Reid has a solo exhibition, Deconstructivism , opening at the Nuart Gallery in New Mexico on view from May 23rd to June 8th, 2025. Tammie Rubin is one of many participating artists involved in the group exhibition Echo Without Origin presented by Patel Brown (www.patelbrown.com) . The exhibition is on display from March 21st through May 10th.
