[5] Bryan Poyser’s feature film LEADS had its world premiere at the US Dramatic Competition at the 2025 Tribeca Festival in New York City in June. The film included 50+ Texas State stu- dents, alumni and faculty in major roles in front of and behind the camera, many of whom came to New York for the event. It will have its West Coast Premiere at the inaugural Film Festival at Hollywood Park in October. [6] Aimee Radics was the Music director and conductor for Waitress at the Zach Theatre in Austin. Syd Rushing was named a LAMBDA Screenwriting/Playwrit- ing Fellow for 2025 where he participated in intense training with Roger Q. Mason and TV writer/producer Steven Canals among other mentors. He will receive ongoing support from Roger, and his writing will appear in Emerge magazine this year. Syd Rushing placed in the quarter finalists for The Black Boy Writer/Black Girl Writes Mentorship which supplies industry access, preparation for general meetings with Networks and Production Companies.
